Cat window hammock – When it comes to taking care of your cat kittens there is nothing they want more than good places to sleep and sit. With a window level cat condo, they get the best of both worlds with easy access to window views, and open and closed sleeping places. Manufactured kitty condos in department stores and pet centers, however, can cost hundreds of dollars. Fortunately, you can build your own cat condo with some time or expense, then take an afternoon and treat your cat for fun and relaxation.
Set each of the 4 with 4 inch posts upright, separated from each other in a rectangular shape. Place 2 of 3 foot plywood pieces over the top of the positions and move the positions flush with the edges of the plywood. Stand up each of the 1 foot with 21 inch plywood on 1 foot edges. Release the other 1 foot square between the boards and just below the newly added square to form a wall. Nail through the sides and top to ensure. Hang the cat window hammock by holding the square of fleece over the top edges of the side pieces. Using a staple gun, slide a staple through fleece and into plywood with an empty space. As your cats use the hammock, fleece will stretch, but your cat can not fall due to the platform under the hammock.
If you wish, carpet the main platform with excess blanket or residue from a carpet installer. You might want to add carpet to house feature and pages at this time as well. Wrap saves twine or a thick yelling around at least one of the leg positions and staple to secure it or use all purpose super lime to fix it. Set the house and cat window hammock piece on top of the main plywood platform and attach it by sewing up through the plywood platform into the sides and back of the house. Finish by adding some kind of toy or ball to dangle on a string on the underside of the platform.
